Being stuck at home is causing you to feel depressed, overwhelmed, and hopeless. You can hardly muster up the energy to care for yourself and notice that you’re starting to feel numbed out. You’ve lost track of time and your memory is failing you. You’re wondering why everyone but you is having a productive quarantine. You want to be able to take care of yourself and find something enjoyable about each day. You’ve tried the best you can, and you’re starting to wonder if therapy can help.

You’re not alone and you are doing the best you can. You are experiencing a trauma that collectively effects the entire world. Whether you’re feeling panicked, angry, or depressed, this is your body’s way of attempting to cope. We can help you feel more calm and grounded while building your internal resources and resiliency. Is online counseling covered by insurance?

Most health plans are covering telehealth sessions during the pandemic, and some plans are covering therapy sessions at 100%. We highly recommend you calling your insurance company to learn more.

How can I make the best out of my online therapy sessions?

  1. Have a confidential and private space for your therapy sessions that are free from distraction.

You’re looking for the right fit…

You have been interested in psychotherapy, but it’s difficult for you to come in for sessions. Whether you’re traveling for work, have a busy schedule, or are physically unable to get to therapy, we’re here to meet you where you are at. We’re here to provide some education and tips on making your online therapy experience beneficial to you.

Who is online therapy good for?

  • Those who live in rural areas where there are little options for therapy or the specialty you need.

  • Those with physical limitations who would have trouble accessing traditional face-to-face therapy.

  • Those who travel frequently for work and might not be able to attend in-person therapy regularly.

  • Those who have a health concern and are in quarantine.

Is it confidential?

At Boketto Center, we use a HIPAA complaint and encrypted webcam for online sessions. This is to protect your privacy. If you’re hoping to do online counseling and do not have a private and confidential space where you can meet with your therapist, tele-therapy might not be the best fit for you.

Is it covered by insurance?

Every insurance plan has different rules and regulations regarding tele-therapy. To better understand your insurance policy, call the member line on the back of your insurance card to make sure your insurance covers online counseling sessions.
