Ghadeer Nasser, LLPC, CCTP
Psychotherapist
You feel like your real self is out of reach. You’re at a loss finding the words to describe what’s going on, but you can sense the discomfort clearly in your body–the worry, the sadness, the shutdown. You grew up in an environment where safety and love felt unreliable. When painful stories and memories start flooding in you feel lost in how to navigate them. It feels easier to do what you’ve always done to get through the day: mask up, make everyone happy, and be “the best.” But, deep down you feel shame about not having it all together. Everyone depends on you keeping the peace as you have always had to be the caretaker, the strong one, the dependable one. Regardless, something inside you is tugging, whispering that life could feel fuller, safer, more you.
I want you to know that your worth isn’t dependent on shrinking yourself and appeasing others, even though you may have been taught that being accepted requires abandoning yourself. Recognizing that life could offer more is a courageous and valid step in living your life authentically. Together, we can create a balance in your life that honors you and your connections.
Therapy is something we will co-create together. The heart of our work is the therapeutic relationship, which means I’ll meet you where you are, go at your pace, and gently challenge you when it serves your growth - always with honesty, compassion, and care. As a partner in healing, I understand the importance of safety and trust in our shared space. Together, we will connect with the tenacity of the human spirit, our shared humanity, and effective tools to support you in being your most genuine self.
Together we will cultivate awareness and understanding of your inner world. We will use mindfulness so you can live more of your life within your values, and create a toolkit of coping skills so you can navigate life’s challenges with more confidence. We will unpack the experiences, beliefs, and patterns that have shaped you, keeping what serves you and leaving behind what holds you back.
I will invite a holistic view of well-being, considering how sleep, movement, nutrition, culture, race, gender, and sexuality all influence healing as I know that building the conditions for growth extend beyond the therapy room. Through our work together, you will develop the confidence to be yourself while creating relationships that honor who you are, not just what you can do for others.
